Andrea has been around all types of animals since early childhood. She was often found running around the farm with her herd of sheep, cows, pigs, dogs, cats, and almost any other farm animal you can think of. She was a member of 4-H from 1990-1999 and a member of FFA from 1996-2001. Andrea concentrated in studying animal behavior, body language, and just understanding why animals do what they do. Andrea is the owner of Tri State Pet Care, and ran all the pet sitting visits for the first several years. Currently, Andrea concentrates on kennels, private doggy suites, and our doggy day camp.
Rebecca joined Tri State Pet Care during the summer of 2010. In January of 2011, Rebecca joined our daily visit team. She provides visits in Bakerton, Shepherdstown, and Harpers Ferry. Rebecca lives in a home with many of her own dogs, as well as rescue dogs. She volunteers with D.A.R.E., a Doberman Rescue league, and also volunteers with Happy Whiskers, the Jefferson County Animal Control Rescue. Rebecca has grown up with animals all her life. Her pack consists of dogs, cats, and horses. She is currently seeking her degree at Shepherd.
Melody joined Tri State Pet care in April 2015. She began as the personal pet sitter for another team member and we were thrilled when she decided to join our team! Experienced with dogs, cats, birds, and farm animals; Melody is excited to broaden her pet sitting horizon. She currently has a toy poodle that was rescued from a local hoarding case but also fosters dogs that are awaiting new homes. Melody is the Assistant Manager at Hair Cuttery in the Valley Mall (Hagerstown, MD), and also volunteers with one of our animal rescue partners.
Crystal started with Tri State Pet Care back in 2013 and was the first kennel park helper. She left Tri State when she had a baby and recently returned. Crystal grew up on a farm, so like other members of the team, she shares a passion for caring for animals.
Kim joined Tri State Pet Care in December 2015. She moved to West Virginia from the DC area to be closer to her family. Prior to her move, she assisted her own pet sitter occasionally and loved it so much that she decided to make it her full time career. Due to the loss of her German Shepherd in 2014 she currently does not have any pets; but raised, loved, and cared for two beautiful and amazing Shepherds over the past twenty years. She foresees another pet in her life in the very near future. Kim provides daily walks and potty breaks, and the occasional overnight and vacation visits in the areas of Hedgesville and Falling Waters, West Virginia.
